In 1992, a new idea was born in Chicago: aging stout in bourbon barrels. That experiment became Bourbon County Brand Stout—a first-of-its-kind innovation that forever changed the beer world. Brewed and aged to mark Goose Island’s 1,000th batch, it quickly grew from a daring innovation into a renowned yearly release—and Chicagoans have embraced it with pride ever since.

To thank our city for their unwavering love, we created Prop Day: a celebration of Bourbon County Brand Stout and the community that made it iconic. Waiting until Black Friday to get a taste is hard. Prop Day gives you access to the new lineup ahead of its release. Thanks, Chicago, for making us who we are.

When/Where is Prop Day happening?

Saturday, November 15th, at 1800 W. Fulton St. Royal Access is from 11am to 4pm and GA is from 12pm to 4pm.

Do I need to bring anything for my allocation pick-up?

Yes, bring your Oznr QR code and your government-issued ID.

Can I buy just one bottle from the Prop Day Allocation?

No, the Prop Day allocation is sold as a package.

Will there be food available?

Yes, enjoy menu items from the Goose Island Salt Shed Pub.

Will merch be available?

Yes, there will be limited edition Prop Day items available only for purchase at the event.

Can I re-enter Prop Day once I exit?

Yes. We understand that you might not want to lug around your allocation all afternoon.

How many tickets can I buy?

You can buy up to four tickets to Prop Day.

Will there be parking?

There is very limited street parking. We strongly recommend using public transportation, rideshare, etc. It’s a beer event after all.

Is Prop Day inside the brewery or outdoors?

Outdoors.

What happens in the event of bad weather?

We’ll be pouring beer rain or shine (or snow), so dress appropriately. In the event of severe weather, stay tuned on @gooseislandchicago.

Can I change the name or transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, you can transfer your ticket through Oznr. The name on the Oznr ticket must match your Government-issued ID.
